New site? Maybe some day.

So has anyone gotten this yet, i did and not sure how to approach a review of it? Maybe I will later when I listen to it. At first it sounds a little tame and polished for Vader?

I was thinking earlier that Vader's quality level album-to-album fluctuates out of proportion to their pretty minimal stylistic evolution.
I had a good feeling about this album though and I expect to be really into it when I get it.
I liked some of their less well-received albums such as The Beast. |

Maybe it's just because I really like the cover art for this one. |
|
I'm sure it's terrible because it's a Vader album. |

Remember the rumor that was going around a few years back that they were gay? Not just gay music, like fudge-packing gay. Anal InVADER. |

It's good, pretty frantic and complex throughout. Like De Profundis with updated sounds. I liked Necropolis better. |

This album is not bad, but I notice the later songs on the album seem to be the old Vader style: strait forward metal and if you noticed some of the beginning songs have some synth added to parts and i notice it has a lot of solos. More then any other album I remember of thiers. A lot more polished and almost some parts to me sound more like power metal. Not liking it that much. I think the album cover is more brutal than some of the songs. |

I like it, but I concede that it is kind of generic. It did get Vader in my head and I pulled out previous ones that I had ignored. My first impression is that this will be the kind of album that sounds good, but gets ignored very quickly. Only to be pulled out and really appreciated when the next LP comes out. Ill have to listen to it some more and see if that impression sticks. |

Their albums are short, 30-35 minutes, and on their last few there's usually only one or 2 songs on each release that sticks with you; Hallelujah God is Dead, Red Code, We are the Horde, Anger, Rise of the Undead... so as albums they aren't great... but I just like listening to their overall sound... I don't really care for their individual songs anymore. I listen to lots of modern bands like that. |

I know what you mean. There are some bands I love, but it is not for specific songs. |
