Be there early, get hot dogs.
Also, get a free Abhorred demo. What you don't have one yet? Are you retarded? |
i'm offended by that last remark, john. i know retards, bro. |
Nice, I will go early for hot dogs.
You guys know how to sell a show to a brother man. |
i might just have to attend this one. after all, abhorred is playing. |
I don't know Shadows of the Unseen, but Hirudinea, Kurixis and Abhorred together! Plus hot dogs. Lots of hot dogs. |
blue, it wouldn't be a show without you man... |
is that picture not working for anyone else or is it just my shitty computer? |
No, it doesn't work. Thats why I just typed out all the info... |
there it is. more proof that technology hates me. |
ben, i hate to tell you this but it ain't just technology that hates you |
damn. you know i had the damndest feeling for the longest time, but i just wasnt sure. i'll just take my sings and go. |
thats why i said "i'll just take my sings and go". and by sings, i meant songs. |
Guys, you should settle this over some nice, tasty, cheddar chilli dogs |
mmmmmmm...cheddar chili dogs |
ill join in on the dogs. spikes is officially 1/4 of the reason why i go to obriens. 1/4 is for joes loving and the other 1/2 is for the ROCK. |
I might not be able to make this one!
and If I do I will be late |
You will be there Joe. I just know you will make it. You wouldn't miss a chance to get hotdogs! (Oh yeah, and the KICK ASS bands!) |
a few more hours... god damn i hate school |
Oh, I don't think I mentioned I have a flight at 6:30 tomorrow morning. Damn that's gonna be rough. |
Don't even bother going to sleep then, and just sleep on the plane. |
I might do that. But, then I'll look like death when I see my parents, and I only see them a few times a year. |
Just tell them you are on a major crash from lack of drugs |
yes. and of course, there's an abhorred show, and something is coming out of the sky. its always something... |
Hopefully people won't be pussies and they'll get their asses out to the show! |
I'll be there, bitches. Leaving in 20 minutes. |
Nice, at least we know two of us aren't pussies!! |
I'm back.
pictures uploading. |

abhorred: played a longer set with covers. the other bands had shorter sets so they were gifted more time. they are taking time off in june to record a cd too.
shadows of the unseen: sounded in flames-ish. but seriously, who cares about what they sounded like cause they had a snake!
kurixis: the first few songs were newer ones. I couldn't distinguish any of the guitar parts. Rob then adjusted his gear and the songs after that (which were old ones) sounded awesome.
hirudinea: they sounded so tight. I think they played 5 songs. I'm guessing it's from particing for the watchmaker split, but it sounded so good. |
Yeah, Hirudinea was fucking awesome last night. It was great to see Kurixis again, who are fucking awesome also. Abhorred was great, I missed the beru beginning of their set. Shadows of the Unseen didn't do a whole lot for me, but they said they were having tons of trouble and were short one guitarist so I'd be into checking them out again.
I got soaked when I gave into peer pressure and got a hot dog courtesy of Mark Kevorkian |
Rev, glad you liked it. Other than my guitar shorting out at times, I thought it sounded great. Obriens is a cool place.
I missed Abhorred, but I will see them soon.
Shadows Of The Unseen wasn't really my thing. Melodic In Flames-ish metal. They are looking for a second guitarist.
Kurixis was awesome. I had heard of this band forever, but never checked them out. I'm glad they played, I was surprised. Black-ish doom death metal played tight. Good stuff.
Thanks to Liz, and everyone that came.
Thanks to everyone who made this show possible and everyone who bared the flood waters to make it down.
Shadows of the Unseen had a lot of technical problems, they'd probably sound better with 2 guitars
Kurixis was great. Like Mike, I heard many good things about this band, and they did not dissapoint. buy their demo...
Hirudenia - Holy Shit! Thankfully I finally got to see these guys and they were great. Totally crazy with no silence throughout the set. Then the sludgy breakdown thing at the end was awesome. Can't wait for the split with Watchmaker...
thanks to aaron for taking pictures again and for bearing the pouring rain on our quest for hot dogs... |
the shadows of the unseen band's singer was playing air second guitar the whole time.
hirudinea was an amazing wall. they bearly stopped for a second between changing to a different song.
next time, I'm only getting 1 hotdog. |
i think that guitar player in shadows of the unseen was pretty nasty |
fuck, shit, bitch! i have such bad luck with Hirudenia. That's like the 3rd time I've missed you guys. I gotta make it to the Chopping Block tommorow. Hail the mighty Beckwiths brothers! |
They are like the evil Hanson brothers |
Joe/NotCommon said: They are like the evil Hanson brothers |
you guys are Canadian?!?!?!
pfffft. fuckin looozzzah!!!! |
since when are they canadian?
I saw a canadian band today.
they came in and said "eh" like 30 times. |
i go to school with the singer from shadows of the unseen; he had that snake around his neck almost the whole day before the show. i just thought it was an ugly necklace at first, haha. completely irrelevant, i know...but who really cares a lot? |
