Whitechapel's "Somatic Defilement" is pretty good. too bad everything else associated with this show is ass-raping horse shit. everyone watch for Scott Lee jerking off with a TAS shirt.
i've got gas money for whoever wants to give me a ride to this. i just wanna see the red chord and shipwreck. i would probably even leave before TAS if one so desired.

Am I the only person in New England who missed the bus with The Red Chord? I remember seeing them at a basement show in Roxbury with Virulence a number of years ago, and while it wasn't the worst thing I've heard, I just never understood the hype surrounding them.
im leaving around 4:30 for this. is cruel hand and shipwreck still playing? I would be lying if I didn't say that shipwreck is why I want to go to this.
Funny you should say that... The place is almost sold out. Seriously. They closed off the downstairs already cause there were too many people down here and started redirecting others upstairs. That is astounding. Good for TAS and this show that it could possibly trump the at the gates show attendance wise. Granted that is sort of lame once I typed it down. But good for these bands. I had no idea what to expect. This is an expensive endeavor so good for all parties involved.
cruel hand: they were excellent. No comparison to the sound at any other venue I've seen them at. So good. The pit disconnecting the band from the crowd sucks for a band like this, but the fact that they are playing here shows that someone likes them. Too bad there isn't a walk way down to the crowd in the middle. Yes, the singer hopped into the crod and there was a stage diver. One lonely stage diver.
shipwreck: it liking shipwreck makes me a terrible person then im a terrible person. looks like they had some line up changes and a former deadwater drowning guitarist. They are the reason that I decided to go to this show. This band is absolutely one of my favorite bands out there. They started off with the full force integrity tracks and ended with their hippie hardcore songs. I was not let down in the slightest. This is also the first time I've seen them up on a real stage.
Whitechapel: it's hilarious seeing that little singer trying to do the vulture thing from suicide silence cause he's 1/2 that singer's size. They played a really good set that most people I talked to would have hated (except good old will dysentery). All the songs I knew from the CD.

Damn I figured they could sellout upstairs, but I didn't think these bands had the draw to sellout downstairs.
That's really awesome though.
I think a lot of people made a weekend of yesterday's show and today's as part of their holiday money.

show was allright...way to packed with all those queer high school scene kids...downstairs on the floor was so annoying,i couldn't breath and this kids hair kept flying into my mouth and all i could taste was shit..also i thought TAS did a dvd shoot allready at the waterfront tavren?? what happend to that?! white chapel's set was way to short and their sound ,sounded like shit. The red chord was better and kept my attention..missed the other bands..fun show but i think im done seein TAS for awhile now...
pfff...no goat sacrificing necessary. you tell me when there is a moment in life when a goat sacrifice wouldn't fit beautifully, and i will say good day to you sir.

So how long did TAS play for? Did they do their entire discog or whatever?
TAS played for over an hour. They stopped twice for a while and I thought it was over, but then it wasn't. I think they started at 9:30 and ended at 10:45
It has come to m attention that CTB has the worst taste in music known to man.
What the fuck?
I think what Rich was trying to say was, you simply have bad taste in music. I wouldn't have enjoyed any of the bands except for maybe early Red Chord. After punching people in the face and yellin, "it's not gonna be all right, it's not gonna be ok", I would have said this is gay and left the building.
i think its retardedly funny that most of the people talking all this shit about the show are in bands. and probably just jealous bitches because THEIR BANDS wouldnt EVER be able to sell out downstairs.
Why would you want to sell out a place that big anyway? Surely you must realize how stupid most people are. What's the point of being in a band with fans if they're all morons?
I'm not in a band either so I guess we can do away with the jealous bitches because THEIR BANDS wouldnt EVER be able to sell out downstairs part. I have a truck filled with furniture outside and prefer to talk about anything but the topic in any thread.

yeah, i said it. KISS MY DICK
shut up, what the fuck does having fans have to do with how good a band is. YOU HAS FANS THEREFORE YOUZ GOOD.
i've never heard shipwreck or cruel hand, but the other bands are terrible. i liked a couple songs from early red chord but always thought they weren't that great. the acacia strain is one of the gayest bands i've ever heard. i'm not jealous, i just don't really like mindless music.
when I got there, some kid was outside with a busted face. I didn't know any bands were on yet. I guess it was from the first song of thy will be done. When I was leaving (chit-chatting by the doors), some kid was walking around like nothing was wrong yet there was blood coming down from behind his ear like in a movie when there is something wrong with a person.
if I'm at a show and get a hangnail that is a little sore, I pack up my vagina and head home.
whitechapel was good.
i dont know whats wrong with people.
apparently they weren't in the pit.
white chapel sucks i hate them so much. same with suicide silence canifax and all those gay bands i couldn't stand the acacia strain so i left when they took their break.

You sell bootleg copies of 'Plant A Tree Or Die' on Rte 1 in Saugus.
so, was that your first time into your oral fixation, or had you had a good deal or practice. also, it did seem like you took that dildo up your ass with ease. was that your first the self-fucking interwebz film?
i think sir, you have some very homoerotic tendencies. you should probably come outta that closet, its ok. everyone already knows. you just need to take responsibility for your faggotry.
so profess your homosexuality. or you may need to ease into coming out. the board is here to listen rich. now i cant speak for myself, but im sure there are people here for you. ready to lend you a shoulder to cry on.

Four Year Strong, Set Your Goals, A Loss For Words, Every Avenue, Energy, and Lions Lions.
Also soldout.

Yes I agree. This show proved that shitty bands that do open chord chuggy breakdowns every 2 seconds, get more attention than people who actually know how to play their instruments. None of the bands impressed or inspired me except for TRC. All the other bands can suck a dick. Chugg on that
i believe the red chord is too talented and they were way unappreciated at this show.
mike holds his own now that they are a four piece band. he shreds nicest guys you will ever meet too.
fat kid gets beat on by parents, fat kid wears sweat pants to school and gets beat on by other "cooler" peers..similar trends continue for years.
SO: godzilla assimilates and internalizes all external stimuli AND...
in a tragically and externally reactive chain of events, godzilla gets huge gauges in ears, gets 'XXX' tough guy tats, sports an acacia strain b-ball jersey, talks smack on blogs and makes a hobby of beating on others far weaker then he; thereby perpetuating a cycle which ironically has helped shaped him up until this point..
NOW: reduce the equation, strip away various veils of falsity and we find at the center of a 'tootsie pop' a sad, chubby, little boy with no place in this world.
Moreover....When you die, no one will notice aside from the increased elbow room and reduced scene pollution.

that is an accurate assessment of this individual's profound douchery
what can i say, i was inspired by cleaning 8 lbs of dog shit that my dogs tucked next to a heat vent down stairs last night. it was like a plethora of hot shit wafting to my bedroom.

whats funny is all the shit you faggots assume about me. NONE of you actually know me. nor will you ever. so give it up. your bullshit assesment of me is just that, bullshit.
now i stress this, if you feel the need to flame me on the interwebz, try actually talking to me in person. and if you still feel the need to generalize who you think i am, so be it. but if you want to talk shit about me, dont be a pussy and hide behind an anonymous name. as well as a computer screen. confront me face to face and see if you feel the same way after wards. and see if you can actually feel ANYTHING physically. this is not an idle message board threat in the least bit, although most of you trolls will feel differently. because your lives revolve around the RTTP board to feel like youre apart of an ELITE group. when in reality, youre just fucking wastes of life. enjoy your delusion of granduer, children.
this just in: your lives are a joke. so go fuck yourselves.

then you would NOT be lying, because you wouldn't be saying anything.

haha so you can make illiterate assumptions about us but when anyone calls you a faggot they're totally out of line? No ones life revolves around RTTP. people are bored and people like you make it entertaining.
This just in, Trolls trollin trolls trollin trolls.
this thread got really, really, really gay. i am completely indifferent to you godzilla, but i hope you see the irony in spewing antagonizing shit on a message board to decry spewing antagonizing shit on a message board.
lulz.
this thread is amazing, but it needs to go away.
i saw mr millenial first in line, i was going to say whats up but i couldn't get over there since i didn't have a gold ticket.

This would only be slightly less pathetic if you weren't the one who started all this shit.
Face it, you like shitty bands. The show was sold out because of high school kids. High school kids are also responsible for selling out Nickelback shows, Dave Matthews shows and (insert names of 50 more bands that fucking suck) shows.
You like shitty, girlie, high school music.
I am so bored I read an entire thread about bands I've never even heard but I can obviously tell I wouldn't like.
what you said was true josh, the show was filled with mostly high school kids.
the $10 price tag also sold this show out. everyone wanted to be in the dvd,
but hey i'm guilty i went to this thing, for one band, but hey $10 for a band i like isn't that bad i guess
i also sold a ticket for a lot more money than face value so i got paid to go to this lol
godzilla got kicked out of metal fest during first blood a few years ago the palladium doesn't like him.
i got kicked outta metalfest during firstblood? ive been to TWO metalfests, both of which i did NOT get kicked out of. nor have i EVER been kicked out of the palladium. but this is the internet, so stating facts is therefore, irrelevant. message boards are the truth. what the internet says, goes.
ps: if you would like to settle this face to face, meet me in the parking lot behind the china pearl cafe. also across the street from shabu zen. chinatown, downtown boston. kthx <3
I remember when I was way younger people used to do "walls of death" at hardcore shows. What I don't remember was it being a bunch of nu metal kids bumping dicks witheachother. Oh well, I may have alzheimers but at least I don't have alzheimers.
The Acacia Strain is a nu metal band. If you didn't already know that.

So your saying the "old version" of the wall of death didn't have people running into each other? Because i think we are thinking of different things...
