New site? Maybe some day.
What are some good New England black metal bands? I'm looking to do a CD compilation for my label... Necrobyss Productions. |
Anodaemonicus from Maine. They broke up, but i'm sure they'd give you a song. |
haha i cant believe someone remembers annodaemonicus. my old black metal band cursed for eternity was supposed to play a black metal fest that they set up in maine back in 97. the show got cancelled. |

I always wonder what makes bands decide to take no effort at all in thinking of a name, with regards to originality. |

i guess bands like mine (; |
Haha I guess so... The question is why...? |
well i'm big into norse mythology, and we were trying to think of a new band name (at the time we were calling ourselves Centurion), and it kind of just struck me, but i didn't realize how big the name was until it was kind of too late, even the pink power ranger is in a Valhalla band!
but times are changing, and we're changing some things around, so maybe we'll even change the name, who knows! |
According to Metal Archives, at least 4 bands beat you guys to CENTURION, but 9 beat you to VALHALLA, so the 3rd time will hopefully be the charm haha... |
i'm going to try to get you a Necro Kvlt song. -my friend's Troo as hell dark throne styled black metal band. with worst possible recording quality. |

Nefarious, Esuriem, and Horn of Valere are 3 new england black metal bands. |

check out Rakun from the Boston area.

I believe that's the addy. It's all about grimly frostbitten and kvlt raccoons. Not bad despite the gimmick. |
muddy animals - black metal lunch |
Does Esuriem have any mp3's? |
I would be happy to give you some Nekro Kvlt tracks, my solo black metal project. my buddy eddie will send the tracks to you once he makes them mp3's. Most of my solder stuff sounds like Darkthrone material off of Transylvaninan Hunger, but my newer stuff sounds like old Beherit. If your interested let me know through this thread. |
I would be interested in hearing this... |
Nefarious is fucking awesome. Easily one of my favorite New England bands, black metal or not. Sign them up ASAP. |
Abaroth...impressive. Are they from New England? Is there a link to Nefarious? |
Not necessarily looking for labels to work with, but a few great BM bands from Mass. that people should hear:
DECEMBER WOLVES
CURSED FOR ETERNITY (RIP)
NINNIXU
PESTIFEROUS
WITCH TOMB
AIWASS
Plus Paul Ledney's been living in Connecticut for awhile. |

Abaroth blew me away. They're from Middleboro, MA. They've never played a show before. I ask them to play whenever I book a show and they always say they're not ready. If you want, give me your email address and I'll pass it along to them. |
Sure, it's Necrobyss@yahoo.com
They sound excellent...
Are there any more bands from CT?
NH?
VT?
Maine?
Clearly massachusetts has quite a few...anymore that can anyone can think of?
Also, I'd like to know what the lyrical themes are? I'm thinking about doing a site dedicated to the true New England black metal scene as well... |
forget Rhode Island dude, Christraper cut his nutsack open. |

Actually, we're from UMass Dartmouth (North Dartmouth, MA).
The demo should be finished and online sometime next week, so keep checking back... you won't be disapointed.
It looks like we're teaming up with HauntedGates records, and will be releasing a split with their main band, Perpetual Winter.
2005 will be the year black metal rises in New England. Keep an eye out for us, as we'll be playing shows before the end of winter.

or you could email me and we'll figure something out
we played a show w/ perpetual winter on halloween. they were pretty decent, the vocalist seemed out of place though. |
